20th May; the day we commemorate as “International Clinical Trial Day,” honoring the clinical research professionals serving to save lives across the world. Way back in mid-1700s, who would have thought that James Lind’s scurvy trial in the mid-1700s would pave the way for laying the foundation for modern day’s clinical research, helping to bring numerous life-changing blockbuster medicines over the years. On this day, I want to take this opportunity to remind my fellow colleagues in the fraternity of our direct and indirect contributions to make the world a safer place to live. None better than the current situation, where we all know that the whole world is facing the health crisis of COVID-19, and all are gazing at us to make an impact in eradicating this pandemic.
